I'm a graphic designer specialising in editorial and communications design. With 23 years industry experience, I get asked to produce magazines, brochures, corporate literature, adverts, POS, packaging, stationery, logos and and identity.
Whatever I'm asked to create, I follow one simple rule – communication is key. I enjoy creating a variety of clean, effective work with one goal in mind – helping you to get your message across. From editorial content to marketing messages, brand values to product information, I appreciate that design for design's sake doesn't help you. Getting consumers on board does.
I've been lucky enough to work with, and for, some great clients. I've worked in the private and charity sectors, in publishing and design studios, creating both editorial and marketing products.
From starting out at Runner's World magazine, via the UK's biggest disability publication and a dynamic design studio, I worked my way up to Art Director. I've helped run the art desk of Time Magazine Europe, managed the marketing design output for Which?, and freelanced for great people such as Sunday Publishing and Seven (previously Seven Squared).
I always endeavour to exceed a client's expectations whilst firmly fulfilling the most demanding of briefs, and I'm not afraid to say if something isn't working and if a new approach is required.
During my career I have gained considerable experience of art direction, running design teams and commissioning photographers and illustrators. I always enjoy working with other design, editorial and marketing professionals to create the best possible product, but am also more than happy to work autonomously if required.
